Copyrighting that which we didn't create - very clever

Great to see andrew barlett is reconsidering his support for the use of embyros for experimentation. After all , it not morality that drives such careless chanting, but the major parties intense blinkeredness over the great economic advantages of innovation - who cares if it sets us on the slippery slope - only whats progressive is good and meddling is Ok .
Never heard the Prime Minister Mt Howard sound so insincere - as Chairman he should do the right thing and vote NO to a seriouly divided group and unclear direction for australia.
New toy you ask ?
well by the time aust reserachers get to use this desperate shallow and speciuos " doing good " some other country will have got the new innovation advantage over mere chance in DNA . A dark day for the country - let the pharmas sell the idea better. Parliament seems no effective stop for an unpopular decision.
